Summer 2007 Gig updates

without comments

Burn Brothers are playing out again. On Weds 27th June we’re getting together with two dollar hooker to rock Tamarai on Jury Lane in covent garden, its an ideal venue to showcase visuals so we’ll be using the opportunity to premiere our realtime visualisation system. Then the following thursday (5th July) we’re heading west to play at Westbourne Studios.

Meanwhile The Sancho Plan are going heading to Austria with a gig at the Ars Electronica festival in Linz at the beginning of September. We’ve also been invited to update the installation thats been a popular fixture in the Ars Electronica Centre for the last year - it’ll be a special version of spacequatica although we’re still working on the precise details.

without comments

After the success of the first gig we’re taking burn brothers back out on the road this april. We’ve got a gig at the cuban in camden (opp barfly) on weds april 11th and we’re playing on saturday 28th april at the 333 in old street. The cuban will be free to get in to, while the 333 is £6, which is pretty reasonable for a saturday night out. There will be flyers etc around closer to the date so do check back or you can check the burn brothers myspace here

Spacequatica at the Sage

without comments

A member of the audience at the Sancho Plan gig at The Sage, Gateshead recorded most of the gig and stuck it up on YouTube. How cool is that? Unforunately it only captures the first 2 out of 3 acts (the third act is the coolest imho), but it’ll give you a flavour of the new Spacequatica piece we’ve developed and the 3D engine that underpins it.

Sancho Plan @ Dana

without comments

The drum installation is live and playable all week at the Dana centre (behind Science Museum in London) as part of the London Games Festival Fringe. The installation is pretty much the same as the version at Ars Electronica so come along and have a play if London is closer than Austria.

Burn Brothers are alive

without comments

The Burn Brothers website is now live. Nothing much to see except for a link to the Burn Brothers myspace page which has now been designed and features 2 of our older tracks.

We’ve got some great tracks we’ve been working on featuring dub poet Marc Matthews on vocals and we’ll put some of them up on myspace soon!
